The project site is located in the district of Bergamo named “Grumello al Piano”, in the south quadrant of the city.
The floor plan of the operation, implementing the boundary conditions, has the building directly on the road, in alignment with the existing buildings, lifting on stilts to create a porch reception and the main entrance to the axis pedestrian street that from “via Grumello” leads until the green system to the opposite end of the site. The building, built in collaboration with Regione Lombardia and Fondazione Cariplo is an experimental project of Social Housing, to provide a real service to those who live in emergency housing. The individual units are specially designed to meet the basic needs of living, ensuring high comfort and excellent energy performance, that will help to keep down the running costs.
